Located beside SNN Raj Lakeview Apartments in BTM Layout 2nd Stage, Shree Vighneshwara Devalaya stands as a serene and sacred space that brings together the divine presence of multiple Hindu deities under one roof. The temple is fully built in white marble, which glows with grace—especially at night—making it a sight of spiritual beauty for all who pass by.
The sanctum houses idols of Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Lord Rama with Sita Devi, Lord Krishna, Sai Baba, Hanuman Ji, Mata Sherawali, Goddess Jagadamba, and Santoshi Ma. Devotees can offer jal abhishek to the Shivling and worship directly without restrictions, making the connection deeply personal and heartfelt.
The temple architecture is intricate and artistically rich, with both the interior and exterior showcasing fine carvings that reflect traditional craftsmanship. The adjoining Jain temple of Dada Sambhana Ji and the view of Madiwala Lake add to the spiritual ambiance.
Having stayed in BTM Layout for around 8 years, I visited Shree Vighneshwara Devalaya countless times. Each visit brought me peace, strength, and clarity. Whether it was attending the soulful evening aarti or simply sitting in silence before the idols, this temple became a constant spiritual anchor in my daily life
Shree Vighneshwara Devalaya is not only a temple—it is a spiritual and cultural center for the local community. The temple actively celebrates major Hindu festivals like Janmashtami, Maha Shivratri, and Sawan month rituals with devotion and meticulous arrangements. Devotees gather in large numbers during these times to witness vibrant decorations and take part in collective prayers.
The temple also hosts Bhajans on Saturdays, Sai Baba worship every Thursday, and special Kathas and poojas as per requests. The evening aarti at 7:30 PM is particularly cherished for its divine atmosphere, where chants and bells uplift every soul present.
This marble temple is a reflection of modern-day spiritual architecture in Bangalore and has become a beloved landmark in BTM Layout. For many, it brings back fond memories—like going to the temple with grandparents or attending rituals as part of their daily life.
Despite its relatively recent construction, the temple has already created a strong spiritual identity in the neighborhood due to its inclusive approach, divine ambiance, and well-maintained premises.
