As a continuation of this sacred connection, every year on Yugadi, water is ceremonially brought from the river at Asangi. This holy water is then used for Abhisheka of Lord Siddeshwar. The temple priests play a crucial role in carrying forward this tradition. The Gaddige ritual is narrated and led by priests belonging to a hereditary lineage.
