Shri Siddharoodha Swami was born in 1836, a child blessed with extraordinary spiritual insight. At just six years old, he left home in search of truth. Under the guidance of his guru, Shri Gajadandaswami, he immersed himself in deep penance and sacred learning. His journey stretched from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, touching the lives of all who crossed his path.
Hubli became his chosen place of residence — a spiritual center where seekers, rich and poor alike, found solace in his teachings. His message was radical for the time: he rejected caste barriers, embraced all equally, and lived the principle of universal love. Historical figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Lokmanya Tilak came to seek his blessings.
In 1929, Swamiji took samadhi, and the spot became the heart of the math we see today. His life’s message remains so enduring that in 2024, the Indian Postal Service issued a commemorative stamp in his honor.
