Important Notes:
Kukke Subramanya is a place of immense spiritual energy, where Naga Dosha Nivarana is a deeply practiced tradition. Worship here is said to cure chronic ailments, bless devotees with progeny, and bring relief from ancestral curses and karmic burdens.
The anthill soil (Mruthike) offered as prasadam here is believed to hold curative and spiritual powers, especially for skin-related ailments.
Kukke Subramanya is venerated as one of the Sapta Moksha Kshetras created by Bhagwan Parashurama. Legend tells us that Vasuki, the divine serpent, took refuge here from the celestial eagle Garuda, under the protection of Lord Subramanya.
It was in Kumara Parvatha, near the temple, that Lord Kumaraswamy and Lord Ganesha are believed to have destroyed demons Tarakasura and Surapadma, symbolizing the eternal triumph of dharma. As a mark of divine celebration, Kumaraswamy wed Devasena, the daughter of Indra, at this very sacred place. The presence of all celestial beings blessed this land eternally.
